Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
What a great new years eve. Brandon and I decided to stay home and just be together as a family. I am pretty sure it was the best decision ever! Our friends Clayton and Felicia had plans to go out with some of their friends so we decided to keep their kids. Maci got to have a sleepover! She was very excited to have Eli and Camille stay the night. We started the night off with a tea party and snacks. The kids loved pretending with the tea set, even Eli wanted in on the action. I had the kids laughing with my British accent.

The kids were having so much fun running around and destroying the house. I am pretty sure they pulled out every toy that Maci owns.

After playing for a little while it was time to put Eli to bed. Eli went to sleeep very easy. The girls, Brandon and I headed outside to do Fireworks. We had tons of sparklers, the girls loved them. They would finish with one and then want another one.

After fireworks we came back in and got ready for bed. After the kids fell asleep I guess we were in bed by 11:00pm. We are so old we didn't even make it till midnight. Oh well we didn't care at all. It was so great to stay home and be with the kids. The sparklers was my favorite thing of the night! The next morning they woke up pretty early and were pretty hungry. Brandon made pancakes for all of us. Eli had a baby pancake and then a huge adult size pancake. That boy can eat so much! After we all ate we just played in our pj's. The kids loved playing in Eli's bed. They were tackling each other and jumping like it was a trampoline. The all rode around on riding toys all over the house. It looked like a game of bumper cars going on. They had so much fun together. Felicia and Clayton came and picked up their kids around 10:00am. The rest of the morning was pretty much spent cleaning and taking a nap.

What a great New years eve! It was so nice and relaxing. The best part was I got to hang out in sweats! Well Happy New Year to everyone! Hope everyone has a blessed year!

Trick or Treat

Maci was a bumble bee for Halloween! What is funny is she didn't even go trick or treating on the actual day. We had just got back from a fall retreat and Maci was exhausted, she passed out when we got home and didn't wake up until the next day. It is ok though she had two opportunities to wear her costume. We had a Fall Festival at our apartment that she dressed up for. She looked very cute! My little Bumble Bee! She also got to wear her costume to preschool, they had a costume parade and Halloween party! She had a great Halloween!

Fall 2010

I can not believe that it is already the end of October! Time is going by so fast! It has been several months since I have got on here. I am not sure if very many people even look at my blog, but oh well it is fun for me! Let me know if you read my blog, so I can figure out if I am gonna keep doing this, lol. Also let me know if you have a blog so we can start reading each other's. I love to see what everyone has going on in their lives. I just wish people would update theirs more often, (Hint Hint Felicia). Just messing with you! :) Well I love Fall time and have been so excited to go to all the different pumpkin patches etc.Maci and I have been having lots of fun this month! I just love the holidays! I went shopping and bought all this pumpkin stuff. I even found febreeze in pumpkin, yay! Well we kicked off October by going to the Flowermound pumpkin patch. Maci has been every year since she was born. The first time she went she was two months We went with Felicia, Camille, and Eli. Brandon and Clayton went to the Texas game so we had a girls day! For the first hour or so
we were just dragging our kids around to all the cute spots for pictures. All they wanted to do was play and run around, poor kids. To the moms, the first priority is getting the good pictures! Everywhere you looked it was moms trying to get their kids attention just for the picture. You also saw a lot of crazy moms making funny noises and jumping up down trying to get the kiddos to smile! It is always worth the hassle when you look at all the great memories captured.

Maci just wanted to follow Eli around everywhere. It was hard for Felicia to get a good picture of Eli without Maci in it. Although it wasn't that bad when I managed to capture this picture. They are so   precious. Maci just loves Eli! I am thinking we should go ahead and paln the arrangement of their marriage. :)
Well after a little while we finally let them just run around and have some fun. They enjoyed playing in the jump house and riding the train. Felicia and I even got to ride the train, it was so fun. Maci loved the bounce house, I couldn't get her to get out. I ended up having to get in the house and get her out. She is a mess!

After the pumpkin patch, we headed to Felicia's house. We just let the kids play and got to catch up on what was going on in our lives. Then we ordered pizza and watched a movie. After the movie it was bath time for the kids. They were so excited to get to take a bath altogether. They even got to take it in Felicia's big bath tub. It was kindof crazy with all three of them in the tub. Eli was climbing up the side and sliding back down face first in the water. He was all smiles just climbing over the girls. Maci was getting frusterated with Eli so Felicia hurried and got him clean then got him out of the tub.
It was much calmer once it was just the girls. They had so much fun together! Did i mention just how cute the two of them are. So precious!
Well the boys ended up getting back pretty soon after the kids baths. We all visited a little while, then we headed home. We had such a great day with the Woods family. It was the first time we had hung out from morning till bedtime. Good times! :)

Hanging with Paige and the kids!

My friend Paige and her family came to the Great wolf lodge for vacation! Lucky for me, we live right down the street. We were able to get together three different times while they were here. We had so much fun! I grew up with Paige in Stephenville. We have always been great friends and I am very thankful for friends like her. It is fun to watch our kids play together. I really wish we lived closer so we could spend more time together. Maci and I met Paige and her family at Grapevine Mills for shopping! Paige is a big time shopper, so it was a lot of fun! After several hours of shopping Maci was worn out and ready for a nap! Maci and I came home for a nap while they kept shopping! Later that evening Brandon, Maci, and I went to The Wolf to met them for dinner! We ate at the little bar and grill in the hotel.
Taylor and Maci love each other and have so much fun together. This is Ashley, Paige's stepdaughter. Ashley is a very sweet girl. She loved taking care of Maci and Taylor! After dinner we headed back to there room to visit and let the kids play.
Us girls had so much fun together! We talked and looked at pictures. After a little while we decided it was dessert time. We went down to the little ice cream shop in the hotel and had some ice cream. Then we went and walked around the hotel and took pictures. We were all very hyper and had lots of fun!
We enjoyed getting to hang out we Paige and her family, can't wait till the next time! It's our turn to head their way! I hope we can find something to do in Lubbock, LOL!

Maci's 2nd Birthday Party!

On Saturday the 7th of August we celebrated Maci's 2nd birthday! Her party theme was a princess party. We had the party in Roanoke at my mom's house. Maci wore a cute pink tutu dress and a pink bow with a crown on it. She looked so precious! Her friends also came to the party dressed as princesses. The boys wore pirate hats! Well except Carson he wore a tutu too, it was so funny!
When all Maci's friends got there they went to the table to decorate there princess and pirate masks!

After the kids decorated there masks they just played in the living room. They dressed up, played in the tent, and played with babies. After a little bit of free play they were out the door for the pinata. This was my favorite thing of the party. They were all so cute swinging the bat at the pinata. They actually did a great job! No of them could bust it but neither could any of the guys aka dads. After a few turns swinging at the pinata I pulled the string and they were after the candy and prizes.

When we were done getting all the candy we were ready to go back inside for our next craft. The kids made butterfly wands.

Then it was present time. Maci did a pretty good opening her presents! Camille and Carson were a huge help. Maci got tons of great gifts thanks to wonderful family and friends. Camille got Maci some cute princess shoes. Maci had to put them on as soon as she opened them. They matched her outfit perfect!
They are on the wrong feet but still look absolutely adorable! Thanks Camille! My outfit is complete now!
After presents we had cake and ice cream. Maci clapped the whole time everyone sang to her. The cake was yummy!
The party was great! Maci had a wonderful time and was worn out when it was over. Thanks to all her family and friends for making her day so special. She felt like a true princess.
Happy 2nd Birthday Maci! Mommy and Daddy love you sooooo much!

10 Year High School Reunion

On July 31st was my ten year high school reunion. My friend Paige and I decided to make it a girls weekend and leave the husbands at home. They didn't really want to go anyway. So my mom, Maci, and I left on July 30th to head to Stephenville. We got there early evening. It was so good to see Paige, her daughter, and her mom. It had been 5 years since I had seen them. We all shared a hotel room at the Holiday Inn. Taylor and Maci didn't take long to be best buddies. After we got all settled in we went to eat at Montanna's, it is one of the best resturaunts in Stephenville. We got chedder fries to start out. They are so fattening but sooo good! After dinner we came home and talked a while then went to bed.

The next morning we got up around 9:00am and had to hurry to get everyone ready for the family picknic. This was the first part of the reunion going to the park and meeting everyone's kids. We picked up Sonic and went to the park. It was so good to see everyone! There was a pretty good turn out at the park and it was fun to watch all the kids play together.

After the park we headed back to the hotel to have lunch. After lunch we left the kids with grandmas and headed out on the town for shopping. We went to lots of little western stores. We were mainly looking for outfits for the evening but Paige found all kinds of goodies. At the last store I found a dress and necklace that were going to look great with my cowboy boots. We had so much fun running around are old stopping grounds. We got back to the hotel around 5 just enough time to get ready for the reunion. Around 6:45 we were ready. I had such a nervous stomach just cause I was so excited. The grandmas were gonna take the girls for pizza and ice cream while we were out. We headed to get drinks then off to the reunion. The reunion was at an old Holiday Inn Banquet room. It was so nice to see everybody. I was really glad at how many people came out for the event. Once we all got a few drinks in us it was just like old times. We danced all over the dance floor. I hadn't had that much fun in a long time! I can't wait till the 20 year reunion! Well actually I can because that means I will be 38, OUCH! Heres to SHS class of 2000!

Florida

Brandon, Maci, and I went to Florida July 2nd through July 12th. We went mainly for Brandon to compete in AMTC.(Actors Models and Talent for Christ). We got to stay in the Gaylord Palms Hotel. The hotel was Awesome, we felt rich staying in such a nice hotel. Brandon's days were pretty busy with classes, rehearsals, and competitions. Maci and I hung out most of the time just the two of us but it was really nice. We would sleep in, order room service, be lazy, go hang out by the pool, come back and take a nap. After our nap we would usually eat dinner with Brandon and go to one of his competitions.
Before the competitions started Brandon had a free day so w took Maci to Magic Kingdom. When we first got there we got to see a parade. Maci was mesmerized by all the Disney characters. Then we went to Mickey and Minnnie's house and walked through their homes. There was a little playground right outside their houses that Maci played on. It was like a playground at a mall back home but it was Maci's favorite part!

We didn't stay very long cause it was so hot and very crowded. We will have to go back when Maci is older and can enjoy it more! We also won't go in July, way to stinking hot!
One night we went to Downtown Disney for Dinner. We ate at a Cuban restaurant. It was really good! We did all kinds of things while we where in Florida but mainly we just hung out at the hotel. Maci loved the pool so we went there almost everyday. Brandon would take her down the slides, she had so much fun!
Another one of Maci's favorite things at the hotel was the alligators. She loved watching them get feed! I have to admit it was pretty neat. We also got to see one in the wild, so cool!
We had so much fun on our trip and didn't want to come back home. It was the most relaxing vacation ever!
